Lehman-Roberts announced in 2021 that three of its plants – Plants 5, 7 and 10 – earned the National Asphalt Pavement Association’s (NAPA) Diamond Achievement Commendation for Excellence in Asphalt Plant/Site Operations.
“We are very proud of these three plant crews and our plant superintendents for achieving and maintaining their Diamond Achievement status. This commendation is a perfect display of our core values. While stewardship and continuous improvement are the obvious two, positive relationships within our communities is also required,” said John Paul Finerson, VP of Production. “We thank our community partners for the recommendations required to receive this award. Congratulations again to all of these men.”
The Diamond Achievement Commendation is a nationally recognized and respected program that encourages and recognizes responsible asphalt plant operational practices and cultivates good community relations. Developed in 1999, the self-assessment process addresses five essential facets of an asphalt plant and its surrounding site: appearance, operations, environmental practices, safety and community relations.
Earning the Commendation exemplifies a company’s commitment to excellence in all aspects of an asphalt facility and symbolizes continuous improvement in operations and community relations. NAPA Chairman James Winford stated, “Earning the Diamond Achievement Commendation enhances both the image of your individual facility and the image of the asphalt pavement industry. It clearly demonstrates a corporate commitment to excellence with a community focus.”
With a total of seven asphalt plant facilities in operation, Lehman-Roberts guarantees top-grade products backed by more than eighty years of experience as hot-mix asphalt producers. Customers have access to a diverse and wide range of paving capabilities, from residential projects to subdivision development, commercial runways and interstate highways.
