Rising to the Top: Adam Webb’s Journey to Plant 10 Foreman

Behind every batch of asphalt is a complex balance of ordering materials, managing stockpiles, maintaining a clean and running plant, and producing quality hot mix. In short, asphalt plants are no easy feat to manage. Yet, there are leaders who rise through the ranks to strike a balance between production and stellar leadership. One in particular is Adam Webb, who has been promoted to Foreman of Plant 10 in Byhalia, MS.

Adam Webb, Plant 10 Foreman

Adam joined our family of companies in 2017 as a second generation employee. As he has worked his way through the ranks, he has gathered knowledge from several key positions within our asphalt plants division, including Groundman and Plant Operator. Yet, when Adam stepped into the world of asphalt, he was following in the footsteps of his father, Bobby Webb, a 30-plus-year veteran of Lehman-Roberts who served as Plant 5 Foreman before his retirement in 2019.

John Paul Finerson (VP of Manufacturing) shared, “We are very proud of Adam’s promotion to Plant Foreman. He advanced very quickly under the mentoring and leadership of Leroy Shaw of Plant 6, who did a great job with his training.”

Howard Green (Asphalt Plants Superintendent) added, “Adam had exceptional training from Leroy and shares many of those same traits. Adam keeps a close eye on the plant and is extremely conscientious of his asphalt mixes. He’s going to be an all-star in his new role.”

With Adam’s strong background in the industry and even more exemplary leadership style, it comes as no surprise that he has already begun excelling in his day-to-day responsibilities. Blake Kimbrough (Asst. Superintendent) said, “Adam is carrying on the great legacy his father left. Adam is loyal, dependable, and not afraid to do the work that is necessary… He has a very bright future ahead of him at Lehman-Roberts.”

Yet, this above-and-beyond work style has seamlessly translated to night work as his team has been tasked with hot mix production for a large local interstate job. John Paul added, “Adam has been challenged with some very busy days throughout the first half of this year and now with a specialty night work project. Yet, he has led the way through many challenges exceptionally well.”

Howard closed with incredibly high praise for Adam by saying, “When it comes to our core values, Adam exhibits them all. Anything good you can say about someone, you can apply to Adam. I don’t know of one negative. He’s just a good dude.”

We are confident that Adam has a long and bright career ahead of him within the Lehman-Roberts team. We wish him continued success as a trusted leader, plant expert, and friend!
