Behind the Mix: Plant 1 Commended for Customer Service

With relationships serving as one of our core values, we’re always thrilled to hear about the positive experiences our customers have at our asphalt plant sites. People are what this company is about – the people we serve and the people we serve alongside.

Roy Rothenberger, Sales Manager, recently recounted a customer experience with our Plant 1 team located in Winona, MS. He shared, “We got a call requesting 450 tons of material for pick-up early Monday morning. I got in touch with Foreman Jonathan Cobb, and his team jumped right on the task. Our QC Director, Cory Collins, also quickly prepared a mix design on the material.”

The construction industry is no stranger to early days, yet this team tackled the morning with excellence. Roy continued, “It was 6:00 a.m. when they got the call, yet they still tackled the project. After they had finished the order, I got another phone call from the customer, sharing what a great job the team did. In fact, he called the next day and got surface mix for the same job since he was so pleased with the service.”

“The customer praised their work ethic and shared this was one of the best plant operators he’s ever worked with,” said Roy. “I want to highlight this crew both for stepping up so early in the morning and helping us take care of the customer. It’s what we strive for.”

Howard Green, Asphalt Plants Superintendent, added, “Overall, this team does a great job taking care of their plant. That same care is reflected in the way they serve our customers.”

Assistant Superintendent Blake Kimbrough closed by sharing, “The Plant 1 team exemplified our core value of relationships by meeting a customer’s urgent needs. They are a great group of guys that are always willing to step up.”
