Going the Extra Mile: Pam Elrod

Serving at Lehman-Roberts, a Granite Company, for just under two years as a Sales Representative, Pam Elrod recently took a deep dive into the world of asphalt and aggregates to better her understanding of this field.

In her day-to-day role, Pam balances customer support tasks, inputting order information, constant communication with our plant sites, and working within our company logistics software. Sales Manager Roy Rothenberger was eager to share, “Whether it’s taking order numbers on the asphalt side [of the business] or maintaining a good relationship with our customers, Pam supports our team’s performance.”

Recently, Pam went even further to extend her knowledge of the inner workings of our asphalt and aggregate plants. Roy shared, “We encouraged Pam to shadow different areas of our plant operations to improve her skill set. She did all of them very well.”

He continued, “She went on a deep dive into our processes from beginning to end… from the mining site to asphalt creation. She even partnered with the quality control team to better understand our QC procedures. Afterward, she hosted an impressive slide show of everything she learned and how she would apply it daily in her sales strategy moving forward.”

Roy added, “What stands out to me most about Pam is her humility. She is always willing to accept responsibility for mistakes and her humility is apparent while working with customers ensuring they are taken care of.”

Pam’s role regularly supports our accounting department as well. Nicole Billingsley, Accounting Supervisor, shared, “Pam plays a vital role in the daily accounting operations, which includes customer service. Her positive attitude continually contributes to our team’s success and overall work environment.”

With continuous improvement being an important aspect of our company culture, we celebrate Pam for being a shining example of this trait. Thank you for your continued dedication to excellence, Pam!
