MEMPHIS, Tenn., March 25, 2021 – Lehman-Roberts Co. and sister company Memphis Stone & Gravel, a leader in the highway paving, construction, asphalt and aggregate industry, has promoted Dennis Harrod to construction superintendent.
“Dennis has continually shown leadership and accountability from his former roles. He’s a problem-solver who doesn’t take shortcuts and always makes sure a task is done right,” said Jarod Riles, construction general Superintendent, to whom Harrod reports. “I’m confident that his dedication to this new role will add to the bench strength of our team and the future of the company.”
As construction superintendent, Dennis will serve as a key member of the Construction Division by leading the company’s Memphis-based paving teams. Duties will include efficient coordination of production schedules, assurance that safe working conditions are being maintained at construction sites, and collaboration with other divisions to ensure full adherence to project specifications.
Having been with the family of companies for nearly 15 years, he previously served in an array of roles that made him an ideal candidate, including an asphalt laborer, floating foreman and paving crew foreman. Dennis’ solid qualities as a leader also helped to produce two strong foremen for the company who formerly served on his crew.
