MEMPHIS, Tenn., March 12, 2019 – Lehman-Roberts Co.,a leader in the highway paving, construction and aggregate industry, today announced President and Chairman of the Board Pat Nelson has been elected as secretary of the 2019 National Asphalt Pavement Association (NAPA) Board of Directors. The installment ceremony took place at the 64thAnnual NAPA Meeting in Marco Island, Florida.
“I’m honored to have the opportunity to work alongside other asphalt industry representatives across the country,” said Nelson. “I look forward to learning from and collaborating with the board to strengthen alliances and continue to deliver value to NAPA members.”
Nelson will work alongside four other national officers, under the leadership of John Harper, Chairman of the Board. The NAPA Board of Directors is responsible for the governance and oversight of the operations of the National Asphalt Pavement Association.
Nelson has served as president of Lehman-Roberts Co. since 2012 and Chairman of the Board since. He is part of the fourth generation of Roberts family ownership, and as an active member of Second Presbyterian Church, where he serves as an Elder and previously served as chair of the Staff Committee and co-chair of the Capital Campaign Committee. In addition to his NAPA involvement, Nelson supports the asphalt paving industry by serving on the board for Tennessee Roadbuilders Association. Nelson also serves on the boards for Presbyterian Day School and Independent Bank and is actively engaged in the Young Presidents’ Organization.
